Cookie Policy.
Prompt Club is part of Potentially. This Cookie Policy is Potentially’s, and it covers the Prompt Club website. Questions: privacy@potentially.com
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Potentially uses cookies and similar technologies on potentially.com, potentially.ai, help.potentially.com and in our apps. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.
The controller is Potentially Studios Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 16916925), 159 High Street, Barnet, London, EN5 5SU, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration reference ZC134318. Contact us at privacy@potentially.com.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies: local storage, which holds data in your browser or app (including, on Potentially, your chat history, which stays on your device), pixels, and mobile identifiers. This policy calls all of these “cookies”.
Cookies can be first party (set by us) or third party (set by a provider we use). They can be session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which last for a set period.
3. How consent works
Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the Platform does not work without them. Everything else is off by default and set only if you consent. On the web, we ask through a consent banner on your first visit. On mobile, we ask through the relevant system prompt before any non-essential identifiers are set. You can change your mind at any time through the cookie preference controls, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
4. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These make the Platform work: signing you in, keeping your session secure, remembering your consent choices, protecting against fraud and attacks, and processing payments. They do not require consent.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication [names to confirm] | Potentially | Keeps you signed in and your session secure | Session |
| Consent preferences [name to confirm] | Potentially | Remembers your cookie choices | 12 months |
| __cf_bm and related | Cloudflare | Security, bot detection and traffic management for our infrastructure | Up to 30 minutes |
| Paddle checkout cookies | Paddle | Secure checkout, fraud prevention and sales tax calculation for web purchases | Session to 12 months |
| XSRF-TOKEN, ir_tools_session | Luminate Works | Security and session for the investor tools and market data on potentially.ai | 1 hour / session |
| AWSALB, AWSALBCORS | Luminate Works (AWS) | Load balancing for the investor tools on potentially.ai | 1 week |
Analytics (consent required)
These help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it: which features are used, where errors occur and how people move through the product. We use PostHog for product analytics and error tracking, under a data processing agreement. Analytics cookies are set only if you consent.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_* (PostHog) | PostHog | Product analytics and error tracking: pages viewed, features used, anonymised event data | 12 months |
Marketing
We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Embedded content
Pages that embed content from other services, such as a video player, may set that service's cookies when you play the content. Where we embed video, we use players in their privacy-friendly mode wherever available, and any non-essential cookies they set are covered by your consent choices. [Confirm video hosting provider before the LSE interview is published.]
5. Mobile apps
Our iOS and Android apps use equivalent technologies: local storage for your chat history and settings, and device identifiers for security and, with your consent, analytics. On iOS, tracking permissions are controlled through App Tracking Transparency. On Android, you can manage your advertising identifier in your device settings. Your chat history is stored locally on your device and is not held on our servers.
6. Managing cookies yourself
Beyond our preference controls, you can manage cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Platform working. Instructions for the main browsers are at allaboutcookies.org.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change requires new consent, we will ask for it. Questions to privacy@potentially.com.
